Elka Recreational Series Front Shocks - Honda 400EX $510.00

Our Elka Recreational Series Shocks feature the same quality components and careful craftsmanship as our other racing series. They are custom-built for the rider's weight, riding style and preferred terrain, with custom spring set-up and valving. While they are not optimized for competition use, they make a huge improvement to your ATV's performance and handling.

Great affordable upgrade

You get the same performance and benefits offered by our racing shocks, only with less adjustability. For recreational riders on a more modest budget, the Elka Recreational Series Shocks greatly enhances the overall handling and performance of their quad. These value-packed, easy-to-use shock absorbers are some of the best replacement shocks you can buy for your ATV. Available for most vehicle models in stock length or long travel versions, with or without a reservoir.

Perfectly suited to your personal riding style

Don't be fooled by the price difference, the Elka Recreational Series Shocks are custom-built for each rider according to his weight, vehicle model, personal riding style and preferred terrain. They feature custom valving and spring set-up that will provide the maximum comfort and performance in a care-free package. They might not have all the adjustments of higher-end shock absorbers, but they are perfectly suited to your personal needs, so you don't need to fuss around knobs and just enjoy your ride.

A-arm Brand
This is mainly for the Long Travel A-arms. If you have Standard Travel A-arms then this is not required. The reason is because all Standard Travel A-arms should have the shock mounts in the stock location. So there would be no deviation between manufacturers. Now the Long Travel A-arms are different. Each manufacturer has their shock mounts in different locations (what they feel is the best). The shock manufacturers have the shock mount locations for most of the A-arm manufacturers documented and are able to calculate the correct settings when building the shocks.
(Examples: Pro Sport, Laeger, Lonestar, etc.)

A-arm Forward Position
The forward position is determined from the stock location. Depending on the rider, bike and type of riding, some people want to change the forward position of the A-arms to help keep the front end down , balance the weight of the quad or add bite in a corner. We offer this option with these A-arms as well.

Reservoirs

Reservoirs allow for greater oil capacity for faster heat transfer and dispersion, further reducing fade.

Piggyback Reservoirs - These are attached to the shock directly.

Remote Reservoirs -Designed to mount on the frame. Attached to the shock via a hose. Some use the remote reservoirs because they may not have room for the piggyback reservoirs.

The folowing options are available for these shocks.
