Elka Standard Travel Sport / Race Series Front Shocks - Suzuki LTZ400 $940.00

The Elka Standard Travel Sport / Race Series Shocks are Elka Suspension's biggest seller. With adjustable compression and optional rebound adjustability, piggyback or remote reservoir and other features, it's easy to understand why they are used by more and more riders everyday. For track or trail, racing or just plain fun, the Elka Standard Travel Sport / Race Series Shocks delivers the performance and reliability you expect from Elka Suspension.

Compression and rebound adjustability

Elka Suspensions compression device provides a wide range of highly effective adjustment so you can adapt and fine-tune your shock absorbers for different tracks or riding conditions. You can add or remove hydraulic resistance with the simple turn of a easy-to-access knob. The 40 clicks of our rebound adjuster provides precise adjusment within a very wide range. Elka shock absorbers feature a checkball that isolates the compression adjustment from the rebound adjustment.

Our Elka Standard Travel Sport / Race Series Shocks have become a reference in performance fully adjustable racing shock absorbers. The reliability, wide range of adjustment and quality of Elka shocks has made them very popular among racers and sports riders. Magazine editors have given Elka Suspension more coverage and reviews than all other competitors combined, and they only have good words towards our products.

Rebound Adjuster

The most significant upgrade available for your ATV

Our Elka Standard Travel Sport / Race Series Shocks are tested by professional riders in actual racing conditions, as well as intermediate riders in real-world situations to ensure that they deliver maximum performance and pleasure. This allows us to address issues unique to real-world driving, such as long-term use and extreme weather conditions.

The Elka Standard Travel Sport / Race Series Shocks are available in long-travel and stock length versions for most sports-utility ATVs. Front shocks are adjustable for compression and rebound or for compression only, while rear shocks come with the both compression and rebound adjustability as standard. With the correct measurements and/or technical drawings, we can also custom design shock absorbers for special geometric configurations.

While each set-up is optimized for the rider's weight, vehicle and riding style, a cross-country configuration still delivers decent performance on the MX track and vice versa. Whatever your type of riding, Elka always has the right set-up for you and your ATV.

A-arm Brand
This is mainly for the Long Travel A-arms. If you have Standard Travel A-arms then this is not required. The reason is because all Standard Travel A-arms should have the shock mounts in the stock location. So there would be no deviation between manufacturers. Now the Long Travel A-arms are different. Each manufacturer has their shock mounts in different locations (what they feel is the best). The shock manufacturers have the shock mount locations for most of the A-arm manufacturers documented and are able to calculate the correct settings when building the shocks.

A-arm Forward Position
The forward position is determined from the stock location. Depending on the rider, bike and type of riding, some people want to change the forward position of the A-arms to help keep the front end down , balance the weight of the quad or add bite in a corner. We offer this option with these A-arms as well.

Reservoirs

Reservoirs allow for greater oil capacity for faster heat transfer and dispersion, further reducing fade.

Piggyback Reservoirs - These are attached to the shock directly.

Remote Reservoirs -Designed to mount on the frame. Attached to the shock via a hose. Some use the remote reservoirs because they may not have room for the piggyback reservoirs.

The folowing options are available for these shocks.

Shock Adjustments

Compression Adjustment - Adjusting the compression of the shock determines how fast the shock "compresses" together.

Rebound Adjustment - Adjusting the rebound of the shock determines how fast the shock returns to its normal position.

High Speed/Low Speed Compression Adjsutments - High speed/Low speed compression adjustment adds another element in tuning your suspension. It allows you to fine tune the compression adjustments depending on the size of the impact.

These adjustments should be made according to the type of riding you plan on doing.

The following adjustments are available for these shocks.
