These Pro Series A-Arms for the Suzuki LT-R450 offer you all you could want from a front suspension kit. It has adjustability, wheel travel, ground clearance and extra strength, plus it’s light weight. The sleek design incorporates the tube bends in such a way that they are attractive and functional. The independent caster adjustable SLICAST System is included. This Pro Series A-Arm set for the Suzuki LT-R450 features our New Needle Bearing Assembly. Protected with our silky gloss black powdercoat and topped off with HOUSER’s New thick epoxy vinyl sticker, these A-Arms are exactly what you have been waiting for.

Houser MGC SLICAST Pro Series Long Travel A-arm Features

  • Maximum Ground Clearance Feature
    • HOUSER Racing has incorporated the Maximum Ground Clearance Feature into this a-arm set. The lower arm has a bend in the tube that is not just for cosmetic appeal, it also provides extra space between the a-arms and the ground. Deep ruts and large pot holes are not a problem for this set of a-arms. Quickly becoming an industry standard, HOUSER Racing’s Maximum Ground Clearance Feature is perfect for trail riding and hare scrambles.
  • SLICAST Feature
    • HOUSER Racing has gone above and beyond to provide our customers with the patented SLICAST Feature. The SLICAST caster adjustment is the only caster adjustment on the market today that can be adjusted independently from the camber setting. The Aluminum SLICAST Feature has 11 settings, each giving you 0.5 degrees of rotation. Each setting is labeled for ease of use. The SLICAST rotates like a cam or bearing carrier, with the ball joint hole being on an eccentric. To adjust the SLICAST, simply untighten the upper ball joint jam nut and pop out the SLICAST CAM. Turn the cam to the desired rotation (caster setting) and press back in.
  • TricTrac Upgrade Holder
    • HOUSER Racing has incorporated a very special bearing end holder for the upper a-arm. This holder not only houses the Needle Bearing and Seal Design, it also allows the upper A-arm to be upgraded to HOUSER’s Automatic Caster Adjustment TricTrac System. The holder behaves like a clamp that can be tightened or loosened as needed. The needle bearing assembly can easily be removed from this clamp by loosening two bolts with an allen wrench. You no longer need a press or clamp to remover your needle bearings. Once the needle bearing assembly is removed, it can be upgraded to the TricTrac System or replaced with another needle bearing assembly.
  • Sealed Ball Joints
    • HOUSER Racing’s sealed ball joints have more travel than stock. This allows the a-arms to have extended wheel travel. We include a Loc Washer and Nyloc nut for every ball join that leaves our facility. These ball joints are covered with a rubber boot to keep the dirt and sand from entering the cavity between the ball and stud and the holder. This rubber seal also contains a heavy amount of grease to keep the sphere moving freely back and forth without binding or wearing quickly. If you ride often and hard, it is not uncommon for ball joints to be replaced. Replacement ball joints can be purchased for a reasonable price from our website.
  • Greasable Needle Bearing and Seal Design
    • HOUSER Racing is notorious for using a Needle Bearing Design. A-Arms usually have bushings or bearings at the frame mounting location. As these bushings or bearings wear down, the a-arms become loose and noises may occur. The suspension system may become unstable and possibly even fall. Our NEW Needle Bearing Design works effortlessly to maneuver the a-arms as needed. The mounting bolt Sleeve is specially heat treated to reduce wear and Needle Bearings are used because they last longer. Hardened washers provide extra support during fastening. Dust Cap Covers are also included in our design, keeping the dirt and sand from entering the bearing assembly causing wear and tear on the sleeves and bearings.
  • Light Weight Tubing
    • These HOUSER Racing Lower A-Arms have been designed using 1 1/8th 4130 Chrome-moly Steel Tubing on the lower a-arm. This concept is important because these a-arms have increased 15% in strength and shed a whole 2.5 lbs.
  • Electroplated Tie Rods
    • The Tie Rods included with this a-arm set are electroplated with zinc. We have used several coating processes in the past and have had the most success using electroplate zinc instead of powdercoating or chrome. When tie rods are powdercoated or chromed, the threads can not be coated too. The treads are then exposed and weather will begin to corrode them, making it virtually impossible to adjust the toe-in or even disassemble. Using the zinc electroplating method, every millimeter of the tie rod is coated. Even the threads! HOUSER’s Zinc electroplating comes in gold or silver depending on stock availability. The gold matches our ball joints and the silver flat finish. Not quite as appealing as chrome, but functions a whole lot better.
  • Long Travel Shock Required
    • This A-Arm set has a performance shock location to be used with an aftermarket long travel shock.
  • 10.5 inch Wheel Travel

This set of Pro Series A-Arms is for the extreme rider or racer, someone who wants to maneuver their Suzuki LT-R450 quickly through the woods or other tight areas. The Maximum Ground Feature makes going over boulders, deep ruts, trees, roots, and any other rugged condition that the trail might bring, an easier task. Fine tuning your caster for each track is simple with the SLICAST ™ feature. With the needle bearing and seal design feature the bearing end of you’re a-arms will hold up to the dirty and watery atmosphere that you ride in. Long Travel shocks are a must for performance. Made from 4130 Chrome-moly Steel, fully TIG Welded, and Powder coated with a glossy finish, this a-arm set not only has the look, but it will hold up to anything that you can put it through. With the TricTrac Upgrade Holder assembly included this allows you to upgrade to the TricTrac System at a later date if needed.

A-arm Configuration

Width: The wider your go, the more stable the quad becomes. The suspension also gains wheel travel when you widen the stance.

Forward: The forward position is determined from the stock location. Depending on the rider, bike and type of riding, some people want to change the forward position of the A-arms to help keep the front end down , balance the weight of the quad or add bite in a corner.

**ATTENTION RACERS - If you are purchasing A-arms for racing, be aware that +3 a-arms on most ATVs may put the width of your ATV over the regulation limit. If you are running negative offset front wheels (4+1) then you may be able to run +3 A-arms. Please be aware of the regulations, know your equipment and do your homework before ordering.

TricTrac Upgrade

Houser offers the TricTrac Upgrade for these Pro Series A-arms.

This TricTrac Upgrade Kit will completely change the way your ATV Handles. The Patented TricTrac (us 7'467,800 B2) is an Automatic castor adjustment that changes the castor of the ATV while you ride. The TricTrac was invented by Houser Racing and is well known in the ATV industry.

  • How the TRICTRAC Works
    • When the ATV is turning into a corner the front suspension compresses and the TricTrac worm threaded shaft forces the upper A-Arm Forward. This Forward Movement causes the castor angle to decrease and become more negative. Negative castor helps the ATV steer into a corner better.
    • When the ATV is heading down a strait-away, the front suspension becomes light and fully extends it-self, the TricTrac worm threaded shaft forces he upper A-Arm Backward. This Backward Movement causes the castor angle to increase and become more positive. Positive castor helps the TV feel less twitchy down a strait-away, which makes the rider feel more stable.
  • What Caused The TricTrac To Be Invented
    • Houser Racing was doing Testing and Development with our Pro MX racer Harold Goodman around the year 2005. At this time we were testing our Patented Slicast ( PAT #) system, which is an independent castor and camber adjustment. When we were adjusting the Slicast we noticed we would get the ATV to corner great, but then it would handle terrible down the strait-away. Then Harold would come back to the pit area and we changed the Slicast the other direction and then the opposite happened. At this time we figured out that our Slicast was working great because we could feel results when we made changes. We also found out, when you are dealing with castor you can't have both, great corning and straight-line stability. After a week of brainstorming about this problem we decided to attempt to change Castor forever. TricTrac was born and released 6 months later.

When we developed the Interceptor Clamps we decided to create a completely NEW and IMPROVED design rather than copying the industries standard, deficient, outdated brake line clamps.

FUNCTION
Where standard clamp designs use only one screw to fasten the clamps, the Interceptor design utilizes two stainless steel screws offering superior clamping power.

DURABILITY
Just like the Interceptor Body Armor used by the US Military, the Interceptor Clamps have a tough protective coating. Interceptor Brake Line Clamps are Hard Anodized which provides a much more durable and abrasion resistant coating than Standard Anodizing. This coating protects the clamps finish from harsh debris like sand and rocks. This means that your Interceptor Clamps will retain their awesome appearance, after even the hardest of rides. Hard Anodizing is used in industrial applications while Standard Anodizing is commonly used for cosmetic applications.

DESIGN
With a completely new and original design, the Interceptor Brake Line Clamps keep the brake lines close and secure to the a-arms, out of harms way.
