The price of the Houser Anti-Vibe Steering Stem does not include the Houser Billet Handle Bar Clamp. The stock Handle Bar Clamp will not work with the Houser Anti-Vibe Steering Stem! So if you do not have a Houser Billet Handle Bar Clamp, you will need to purchase one at this time. Our handle bar clamps come in two different sizes, 7/8 which is the diameter of your stock handle bars, 1 1/8, which is the diameter of a Tag or Pro Taper handle bar.
The Houser Anti-Vibe Steering Stem for the Honda 400EX is offered in three different heights +0, +1, and +2. These heights are an exact measurement from the stock steering stem. For example, if you are running a stock steering stem, with stock handle bars, and like how it feels, buy our +0 Steering Stem. We cant tell you what steering stem to buy, but hopefully we can help you make your decision based on our previous sales. Customers who run Stock or Renthal handle bars usually use a +0 Houser Anti-Vibe Steering Stem (MX or TT Races). Customers who run Tag or Pro Taper CR High Bend handle bars usually use a +1 Houser Anti-Vibe Steering Stem (MX or TT Races). Customers who run an oversize gas tank and sit down a lot when they ride usually use a +2 Houser Anti-Vibe Steering Stem (Cross Country or Endurance Races).
NOTE: On the Houser Anti-Vibe Steering Stem for the Honda 400EX we use 1 Ό tubing. This is the same size tubing as a stock YFZ450 Steering Stem. If you are going to be running a steering stem dampener, which clamps on the steering stem, ask for the end that mounts to the steering stem to be the same as a Yamaha YFZ450, 1 Ό diameter.
