JD Performance has created the BEST Long Travel A-arm packages available for the Kawasaki KFX450R.
There are 4 different Long Travel packages available for the Kawasaki KFX450R. These packages range from the Basic Package which includes the A-arms and the necessary hardware (will require special tools to remove OEM clips and bearings and will reuse some factory hardware. Not assembled), to the Level 3 Elite Package which includes all new hardware and is pre-assembled. |

Camber Adjustment
On these A-arms, the ball joint slides through the end of the arm, with a jam nut on the outside and lock nut on the inside. Camber adjustment is done by simply loosening one nut and tightening the other. Most of the competition threads the top ball joint into the arm, so adjusting the camber would require "breaking" the ball joint loose from the spindle then turning the ball joint... not very fast or easy. For those of you who are worried about the jam nut on our set up, simply use a little Locktite.
Caster Adjustment
Setting the caster is the fastest and easiest in the industry. The top arms have "caster shims". Simply remove the top A arm bolt (or 2 bolts for non Yamaha) and relocate the shims and shift the arm forward or back. The whole process takes 5 to 10 minutes, and adjusting the caster does not affect your camber settings. Most of the competition uses heims on the frame end of the top A arms to adjust caster. Using this method is extremely time consuming and difficult to do, not to mention that your camber settings will change in the process. Getting both sides of your quad to have equal settings is nearly impossible without specialized gauges and tons of experience. JD has taken the guess work out of the front end and made it easy for you!

Each package includes:

Basic - package includes 16 new bushings, 8 caster shims, upper & lower Laeger style ball joints and 2 chrome-moly tie-rods.
This kit does not come pre-assembled. This kit requires special tools to remove OEM clips and bearings. Factory pivot pins and bearings will be reused. Be sure to inquire before ordering the Base kit.
Level 1 - package includes everything in the Basic Package PLUS 2 upper sleeves & 2 custom JD lower pivot pins (requires the use of 2 factory lower pivot pins).
This kit will be pre-assembled and ready to install.
Some factory parts will be reused.
Level 2 - package includes everything in the Level 1 Package PLUS 8 needle bearings.
This kit will be pre-assembled and ready to install.
Some factory parts will be reused.
Level 3 Elite - package includes everything in the Level 2 Package PLUS all 4 custom JD lower pivot pins.
Your Level 3 Elite kit will be pre-assembled and ready to install. The JD Performance Level 3 Elite package for the Kawasaki KFX450R is the perfect finish to what Kawasaki has started and is the only true bolt-on kit on the market.
These packages are available in both 'standard' and 'long shock' configurations and custom colors (and chrome) are available.

With all extended length A-Arms, JD Performance recommends that you get aftermarket front shocks that are set up for your paticular weight and riding style. Stock brake lines will work with +1 and +2 length A-arms, but longer brake lines will be required for any +2+1 or longer.
